Roles and Responsibilities of the DAC
- Develop national strategic and national action plans on disability;
- Leads, organizes, implements and reports on the Implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities;
- Promotes the implementation of Laws, Policies and Regulations related to disability and rehabilitation;
- Proposes revisions, additional completion or amendments of laws, policies, and regulations related to disability;
- Monitors and evaluates the implementation of policies, national plans, laws and regulations related to disability;
- Assists the relevant ministries, institutions and organizations to develop policies, national plans and strategies related to disability and rehabilitation;
- Organizes national, international and other events related to disability;
- Provides technical advice on disability and rehabilitation.
- Communicates with national and international communities for the purpose of exchanging experiences and to mobilize resources from internal and external;
- Develops the national report on situations of persons with disabilities for the Royal Government.
