Sec. Em Chan Makara Looking for Development Partners to Help Children with Disabilities

Secretary of State of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation and Secretary-General of the Disability Action Council (DAC), Em Chan Makara, distributed 20 wheelchairs donated by the people of Japan to the disabled at the National Center for Infants and Children on August 16.

Secretary of State of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Rehabilitation and Secretary-General of the Disability Action Council, Em Chan Makara, met with a Chinese delegation representing the China Disabled Person’s Federation (CDPF) to discuss the provision of assistive devices for persons with disabilities in Cambodia.

Sec. Em Chan Makara Encourages Youth with Disabilities to Compete Internationally

The Secretary General of the Disability Action Council organized an online IT competition for young persons with disabilities on July 25 and 26. Four lucky winners will be sent to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates to compete in a live IT competition from October 24-29, 2023. Five other competitors will be able to participate in the competition online.

Siem Reap) His Excellency Em Chan Makara, Secretary of General of Disability Action Council: Stated in order to achieve the target to get the best results and effectiveness shall be based on 4 key factors

The 4 key points, including 1: Factors responsible and transparent self-recognition deal timely, through opinion leaders, do not careless, to be punctual, following plan to respect the decision of the leaders, do not precise what you have been doing.
Factor 2: The work team, transfer power and the role, does not typecast solidarity of the party, do not create factions, and must be morality.
Factors 3: Analysis data, information is able to grip the general situation specific information politics and work as a server for politicians and final factor in strengthen their own ability, planning, monitoring, evaluation and normal output.

His Excellency Em Chan Makara said in the 2016 Annual Review Meeting and continues with destination activities in 2017 of Disability Action Council held at the Express Hotel in Siem Reap on December 27, 2016.

Meeting aggregate annual 2016 and direction working activities in 2017 of the General Secretariat of Disability Action Council, was presided by His excellency SEM SOKHA, secretary of the ministry of Social affairs Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation and Vice of Disability Action Council, representing people with disabilities, representing His Excellency Vong Sauth Minister of Social Affairs , Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation and participation of the staff government in Secretariat Disability Action Council, a total of 62 members and also participation of Mrs.Meas Mao represented the UNDP in Cambodia.

Meanwhile, His Excellency SEM SOKHA, secretary of the ministry of Social affairs Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation highly evaluated the activities of the Disability Action Council, which applied in 2016 to serve the work-related disability encouraging people with disabilities to have joined the labor ministries, institutions and construction of ramp and organizing many social programs to serve for disabled people in society.

Whereas, Mrs Meas Mao represented of UNDP in Cambodia, expressed her congratulation recent development of disability sector that has attention of the ministries and institution related past, if they say the sector disabilities are referred to the Ministry of Social Affairs and related institution that attention would working well.
