Samdach Decho Hun Sen has proposed to Television Stations and restaurants invite people with disabilities to sing in their programs to better solve people with disabilities’ difficulties

Posted: December 06, 2016

Samdach Decho Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia has proposed to the television stations and restaurants invited people with disabilities to sing for their programs and do not discriminate them. Samdach Decho Hun Sen mentioned that by doing that activity, it will help to assist their difficulties and also help to avoid them singing at the traffic light stops in Phnom Penh (listen his speech in video records).

Samdach Decho Hun Sen has proposed that action while he has attended in 18th Cambodian days for people with disabilities that were conducted on December 6, 2016 at KohPech Exhibition and Conference Centre.

Samdach Decho Hun Sen said that “ I would proposed to all TV stations and restaurants please invite people with disabilities to perform their abilities. Previously, CTN and Bayon TV and some TV stations often invite people with disabilities but now seem to be quiet. However, what we need to be done, there are many restaurants which should invite people with disabilities. If they could not invite the whole team, they should invite the singer with disabilities to sing at least one to two songs in their restaurants, as it would help to assist people with disabilities’ difficulties.

To be notice, some TV stations and restaurants used to give opportunities for people with disabilities to sing in their programs. However, it was observed that those supports were limited, especially the supports from the people in society were insufficient and some of them still have negative attitude and sense of discriminations towards people with disabilities.
