H.E Em Chan Makara announces the donation of 10 month salary (equivalent to $5,000) to the Cambodia Kantha Bopha Foundation under the call of Samdech Techo

(Phnom Penh): H.E. Em Chan Makara, Secretary General of Disability Action Council and former Chairman of the Cambodian Children's Committee, announced the donation of 10 months of his own salary (USD 5,000) to Cambodia Kantha Bopha Foundation in response to the call of the Head of Cambodian Government, Samdech Techo Hun Sen.

Since the age of 13, H.E. Em Chan Makara, had been actively working to promote children's rights and to let the children know that they are an important part of the society and for this reason, the Secretary General of Disability Action Council has been working diligently under any circumstance for the benefit of Cambodian children.

The announcement of H.E. Em Chan Makara, the famous Secretary General in the field of disability, show how much he cares about children in Cambodia through innumerable work in the past.

When H.E. Em Chan Makara served as chairman of the Cambodian Children’s Committee, he stated that the establishment of the committee was to disseminate the Convention on the Rights of the Child to the public and to promote the rights of the children.

All of these action prove the fact that the former Chairman of the Cambodian Children's Committee H.E. Em Chan Makara cares about Cambodian children, and the donation this time, in response to the leader of the Cambodian Government, Samdech Techo Hun Sen, who has always been taking care of children which result in the establishment of the Cambodia Kantha Bopha Foundation in order to help with treatment and support children throughout the country.

On April 10^th 2018, Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, request for donors to contribute to the Cambodia Kantha Bopha Foundation, which has Samdach Techo as honorary chairman, in the direction of supporting Kantha Bopha Children's Hospital in Cambodia.
