Secretariat General of Person with Disability was ineffable by brutal violence against a Boy with Deaf Caused Injuries and getting Medical care at hospital.

Phnom Penh: His Excellency Em Chan Makara, Secretary General of the Secretariat General of the Disability Action Council, came forward to react and condemned the use of brutal violence against a boy with deaf who caused injury and getting medical care at hospital on April 2, 2018, at Steung Mean CheyII Commune, Meanchey District, and Phnom Penh City.

His Excellency Em Chan Makara, added that His Exllency Vong Soth, Minister of Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation and Chairman of the Disability Action Council, paid attention to the above-mentioned case of violence against children, which was the most unacceptable brutal violence. Secretary General considers it as bad image that society cannot accept.

His Excellency Secretary General, Em Chan Makara has been strongly reacting for not having a picture of violence against juveniles with this disability, with just a can of orange juice should just calls to educate or invite the guardians to pay money. The General Secretary of the person with disability has asked the authorities to take action against to the perpetrators in order to prevent the incident from becoming a bad image of the society.

According to a police report, on April 2, 2018, a boy with deaf was beaten up by perpetrator until there is bleeding through his ears because of child stole a can of orange juice in a grocery store. After the incident, the family of the child has already filed a lawsuit, but the complaint was withdrawn after the compromise negotiations were made by the perpetrator.

His Excellency Em Chan Makara has confirmed that the use of violence against to the Children with Deaf and Persons with Disabilities should not be possible, under any circumstances. His Excellency Em Chan Makara, representative of the Minister of Social Affairs, Veterans, and Youth Rehabilitation said that the Royal Government of Cambodia had always paid attention to people with disabilities and urged all people to stop using violence, especially the assault on person with disabilities who are the most vulnerable.
