His Excellency Em Chan Makara Supports the Music of Persons with Disabilities, but Persons with Disabilities Should Find an Appropriate Place to Play Music that Can more Income
After a request from His Excellency Pa Socheat Vong, Phnom Penh Municipal Governor to Persons with Disabilities stop playing music on the street, traffic light, and other public areas to collect money that cause to an effect on public order. On the 6th of February 2016, His Excellency Em Chan Makara, Secretary General has stated, that himself with the Phnom Penh Municipal will have a discussion in next week to find a solution for Persons with Disabilities, for they can live with dignity after they stop playing music on the streets and other public areas.
This Secretary General has also stated that after a guiding of His Excellency Vong Soth, the Minister of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans, and Youth Rehabilitation and the Royal Government of Cambodia, has pay attention for Persons with Disabilities and all arrests with disabilities. And also, Disability Action Council has been empowering and encouraging Persons with Disabilities to show their capability in all events and concerts. The skills of art of Persons with Disabilities are attractive for public people pay attention on the talent and capability of Persons with Disabilities.
Secretariat General Disability Action Council had invited already twice for meeting with the Association Music of Persons with Disabilities and the Music of Persons with Disabilities Organization to solve the issues above. According to the guidance of His Excellency Vong Soth, the Minister of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans, and Youth Rehabilitation, poor Persons with Disabilities are encouraged to live in Centre, and they can get financial support for 5,000 Riels per day.
In conclude to this case above, His Excellency Em Chan Makara stated with clarification, that the playing music along the street at the traffic light and public areas, the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans, and Youth Rehabilitation together with Secretariat Disability Action Council will find and way to solve this problem.
His Excellency Em Chan Makara clarified: “we support for all musician group of Persons with Disabilities look for an appropriate place to play music where is safe, dignity, and also can get more money such as in restaurants, parties, and other events rather than playing music along the traffic light of the street and public areas that can face high risk, disturb to public trafficking and foreign tourists; particularly, playing music along the street causes traffic jumps and not good environment for cities. We hope that all group of music of Persons with Disabilities are supported by all level of people with discrimination”.
I would like to announce, recently, His Excellency Pa Socheate Vong, Phnom Penh municipal governor has requested to group of music of Persons with Disabilities to stop playing music along the traffic light along and public areas the street to collect that affect the public order.
The request of Mr. Pa Socheate Vong was made on 4th of February 2016, in the morning during the meeting of the Committee of Commando of Phnom Penh Municipal which participated by His Excellency General Choun Sovan, Phnom Penh Commissioner Police, Mr. Roth Sreang, Commander of Royal Force of Phnom Penh Municipal, and all Governor of 12 Khan.
