Secretary of State of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation, Em Chan Makara, stated that the Royal Government, led by Prime Minister Hun Sen, considers the disability sector as one which needs attention and support. He added that because of this, the sector has continued to grow, along with the support of outside donations.

PHNOM PENH: Secretary of State for the Ministry of Social Affairs and Secretary-General of the Disability Action Council, Mr. Em Chanmakara stated that PM and his wife consider person with disabilities among the people who need to be taken care of, which is why the sector Disability in Cambodia is growing, including providing comfort to people with disabilities.

The Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation has kicked off the workshop on imoving accessibility for persons with disabilities on Monday. The workshop titled “Technical Standards, Physical Accessibility, Facilitation for Persons with Disabilities” aims to support persons with disabilities providing them with more inclusive and accessible infrastructures across the kingdom.
